Drafting

Drafting is oh so much fun!
 When I'm bored to tears!
Up to my ears in school work!

Juliet

Juliet makes me think of green
New growth all around me
Rising up from the ashes of the past
Thriving after forest fires
Cycles of life and death
And I wonder
Is this how Shakespeare felt?

The thing is: Shakespeare’s poems and plays have so much more formatting and organization.

Romeo and Juliet. So inspirational.  Man, I hate that play. But what part of it inspires me? "Obviously the theme of true love," someone ignorantly gushes. Nope. Family feuds and recovering from disaster.

On a mostly unrelated note, my favorite part of the entire play is the part when Romeo and Mercutio are talking about dreams. Actually just the very beginning of that part.

Two on Tuesday

In all honesty, a lot of things make me happy.

2. Yarn. Have I said this before? Probably. Doesn't make it any less true.

2. Socks.

Two on Tuesday

This week seems to be the week of simple things.
  1. Pretzels.
  2. Rosebuds.

Look up

I look and I see
Such a magnificent tree
Such a story to tell!
You've been here for an eternity
What have you seen?
What do you see?
Don't you have a story for me!
You've seen
Doves of war!
Hawks of peace!
Arrows and swords!
Weapons of war
You have knowledge
It took you so long to see
It took eternity
Now you know
Nobody ever looks up

This was something I wrote for school last year, and for the life of me I can't remember the actual prompt.

Two on Tuesday

Cue cunning, witty, intellectual introduction.
  1. People, people, people. I think all can agree that they are ultimately what causes us to the most pain and the most joy. They are what makes us keep living and what makes us decide to stop. They are people, people, people.
  2. Seeing a mama fox and her babies.
