Jane's Square....

...which isn't actually a square. I haven't been doing a good job at all of updating this blog because sh*t happens and life is a b*tch.  Three happy birthdays later and I'm finally updating, this time with a pattern! One of the birthdays was my own and I got crochet thread. Yay!

And on to the pattern...
Can be made with any hook and thread or yarn, American terms, magic loop tutorial .

RND1:  Make a magic loop, ch 3 , 7 dc in lp, join to 3rd ch of ch 3 with sl st, 8 sts.

RND2:  ch 1, sc in same st, *ch 5, sc in same st, ch5, sc in nxt st, rpt from * around, 16 lps.

RND3: Sl st to middle of ch 5 lp, ch 1, * sc in lp, ch 5, rpt  from *  around, join to 1st sc, 16 lps.

RND4: Repeat RND3. 16 lps.

RND5: sl st to middle of ch 5 lp,ch 1, * sc in lp, ch 6 sl st in 2nd ch, sc, hdc, dc, tr in nxt 4 chs respectively, sc in nxt lp, ch 3, repeat from * . 18 points.

RND6: * Sc in the bottom of the ch of the nxt 5 sts, ch 8, repeat from * around, join, fasten off.
